I hope everyone had a wonderful day today! My husband and I had a fantastic weekend together. Went to a live show and dinner with friends on Saturday, and today after church went to pick up two truckloads of firewood for next winter. It's hard to believe with summer coming on strong that in a few months we will be oh so cold again! I have been very busy creating warm winter wear for that very purpose, and have even written a few of my own original patterns for fingerless gloves.
Lately I have been working with Pure Virgin Wool, which is wool that has been spun for the first time. This wool is a bit coarser than some of the silkier blends I work with, but is still soft, fairly light-weight and wonderfully warm! The great thing about pure wool is that it is warm even when wet, a big advantage for those of you who live in more humid climates where rain can be a regular occurance. The natural lanolin that is contained in this wool makes these garments water resistant in cold, damp weather. This Pure Virgin Wool comes in Butter Cream, Oatmeal, and Weathered Bark.
Wishing everyone a great week!

Move opening day to Spring?
I have had a few people tell me that I should start posting items in my store sooner than this fall, being that it is nearly winter already in Australia. So tell me what you think...if it isn't winter where you live, would you buy winter items in spring or summer? What items would you purchase? I would love to know everyone's thoughts on this.
Currently I have a few cowls made, along with about 15 scarves, all from wonderful fibers like Alpaca, Silk, and Merino Wool among others. I will also be offering fingerless gloves and wrist warmers, shrugs, sweaters, and hats of various styles. Chime in and let me know what winter accessory you wouldn't dare do without!
Wishing you all a beautiful day,
~Heather

New Shop on Etsy! Almost...
Although Ewenique Wool Works is currently "Under Construction" on Etsy, I am filling my time creating wonderful items to be listed this fall. The Grand Opening event will be sometime in September or October 2011, so keep checking back for new information on opening dates. I will be offering 15% off your entire order for the first three days with coupon code 15GRAND that can be applied at checkout.
Until then, feel free to go to http://www.eweniquewoolworks.etsy.com/ to view shop policies which include information on shipping and returns. You can also review the Fiber Content Guide offered at the bottom of the policies page which is a wonderful resource in learning about the various fibers contained in the garments I create.
I would love to hear from you! Let me know your thoughts and share your comments on what you'd like to see this fall in Winter wear.
Wishing you a beautiful Spring Season,
~Heather
